I did get the model numbers mixed up (EAN, ETN). But it’s not even an issue anymore since I went with a TAN16C with cool tube pickup a little over a year ago. After hearing the full tube sound through a solid state amp, I was hooked. I absolutely love it paired with the Marshall acoustic amp I bought at? the same time. Couldn’t ask for anything more.
You haven’t been looking at the EAN10TBS, have you. It? is the model before this one – no neck inlays and no timber rosette, with more pronounced sunburst and amber pearl tuners.

Thanks. I just liked the color better on this one. I liked the subtle fade better than the funny guitar pick-shaped sunburst on the EAN. I got my new Takamine already anyway. Ended up with a TAN16C with the cool tube? and a new Marshall solid-state acoustic amp to round it out. Beautiful combo and completely happy with them both. They both sound great on recordings I do with my Lexicon Lambda.
The EAN and the ETN series ara basically the same? models with some modifications.
No, this is a stock guitar, straight from Takamine…….we took it out of the box right before we shot the video. ? I still have that very one, if you really like it. I can sell it to you if you will contact us at 1-800-281-6607.
I think I figured out my problem. Its an ETN…I was looking at EAN series. Musiciansfriend changed the search term on me (apparently they don’t sell this one) and I copied that to? look around at other sites…..
I’ve looked for this guitar at several sites. The ones I’ve found (same model #) have the concentric ring rosette and no neck inlays. Also, the sunburst isn’t as subtle as it is on the guitar in the video.
There are a few other differences. Not even the Takamine website has one that looks like this. I want this guitar, but I can’t find one that looks as nice as the one in the video. What am I missing? Is? this one here customized?
