Improvising over the chords of a new song im working on. Just saw the movie "It might gout loud" and Edge from U2 really inspired me by using effects to create ideas. I used a DL4 pedal with my John Mayer signature strat through a fender deluxe reverb amp using a tubescreamer.

i like that off-the-wall-who-would-think-of-this guitar playing. nice melodies
5***** I Loved it!!
sounds great. Do you remember the settings on your amp/tube screamer?
yep
I saw your version of Scofields A GO GO and now I see you seem to be influents by Mayer, I like your tone
My question is do you sing and or write your own music?
It would be nice to hear a great voice to accompany the fine guitar playing.
So let me see if I understand this…you have the volume on your amp low, but the volume on your mic up?
it’s not too loud actually. i have it at about 2 1/2. The reason it sounds loud is because i had the volume of the condenser mic up pretty high. But to get the best tone i’d say put the volume up pretty high but keep the master low so you get more tone.
Sounds great!!! What is the volume set at in this vid? I have a Princeton Reverb right now, and it just can’t cop the snappy tone of a Deluxe. Great tone, but different…Either way, I’m just worried it’ll be too loud for the apartment.
This is very nice! 5*****
This is really sweet dude!!
Fantastic, this is why I’m subscribed. Amazing stuff.
You have an excellent sense of phrasing my friend, absolutely fantastic stuff!
I have to agree with MysticGrant on this one. I am digging the style and super tone those Fenders are putting out. Nice job bluesmysoul.
Kinda speechless. Tone is amazing. The loop you made using effects should have a whole album designed around it. The soloing was tasteful you never went overboard. It’s 2:41 AM but I just have to play now.
