@foxhillreds
Thats complete bs, without taking all of them off how do you nourish/clean the fretboard right?

I have them too. Can you lock the strings and then tune them?
I’ve been wondering this, because one of mine broke and won’t turn anymore.
Like it’s jammed, Did that do it?

@foxhillreds on a telecaster like this one in the video, it doesn’t matter if it’s just for a while. To leave it like that for 2 weeks or more might change the tention in the neck. Bass guitar on the other hand, it’s recommended to never remove all at same time. But I’ve seen professionals doing it aswell, guess after changing it 50 times a day makes you want to do it fast.

@CollyStrings actually its not good for your guitar if you take off all the strings

Joeseffel August 28, 2010 at 11:14 pm

@carsguitars009 He seems to be under the impression that you’ll snap the neck, but the truss rod isn’t cabable of that, it’s just a theory someone came up with which clearly isn’t true.

@Stringprodigy Well chosen username there ;)

ebagork August 29, 2010 at 12:58 am

@foxhillreds wow, you really don’t know shit about guitars
that in itself isn’t a bad thing
the fact that you spew bullshit about them as if you do
is

0:58!!guy in background is very confused

ThePopageetar August 29, 2010 at 2:03 am

demo was good, but just get to the point and exclude all the yapping

remnent7 August 29, 2010 at 2:55 am

You replace all strings at once for tone… and the others will likely break soon… and you should put the low e on last to prevent neck bending

rob61091 August 29, 2010 at 3:49 am

@foxhillreds you can take them all of, but if you leave them off for to long it could warp the neck

afrobrosstudios August 29, 2010 at 4:22 am

how much were they

CollyStrings August 29, 2010 at 4:26 am

@foxhillreds I’m sorry, you must really not know anything about guitars then.

foxhillreds August 29, 2010 at 4:39 am

your not supposed to take all the strings off your guitar at once

CrushedJustice August 29, 2010 at 4:58 am

CollyStrings August 29, 2010 at 6:40 am

@JaguarsJunior Yes, you can tune to any tuning you want..

JaguarsJunior August 29, 2010 at 7:21 am

Hey can you tune down with these tuners (to C)??
I#m not sure because you said that you dont need more than a half turn
good video

CollyStrings August 29, 2010 at 8:00 am

@theguvnerpresents No, it doesn’t work like that. Watch the video at 1:26, you should see those little circles on the back of each tuner. That is the “locking mechanism” of the locking tuners, once you lock the string in, its nearly impossible to turn that. Additionally, you can always detune and retune with no problems. Once you ‘lock the string in, they are just like standard tuners, but better.
